The Promotion Process

Most of the time, when you hear the word "staff", you think of roles such as Mod, Admin, Manager, etc. But what about the people that create awesome builds or cool content? Aren't they staff too?

The answer is: Yes!

On Renovia, our "Staff" is made up of every single individual who works daily to improve the server by use of their skills, helpfulness, or other methods. We make sure everyone is prepared to help our community beyond their usual roles - putting value on community involvement, teamwork and knowledge of every aspect of Renovia.

You may be thinking, "why would you teach a Builder how to see who didn't replant my farm?"

Well, we don't teach Builders how to be Helpers. That's because they already were a Helper - and still are!

As you can see, every staff member, no matter what their skills or talents are, were once upon a time a Helper. Though they now may be making challenging mobs or building an ancient arena, they are still able to and encouraged to lend a hand occasionally, and retain their "Helper powers".

By teaching everyone to be a Helper first, we make sure that:

  • All staff are actively engaging our best asset - the community!
  • Everyone has at least a basic knowledge of how the server works, or knows where to get information to answer questions about it.
  • We aren't promoting people based on skill/talent alone. Teamwork is essential to creating the best experience, and you won't get far if you only look out for yourself.
  • There's no shame in opting to stay a Helper. They are the foundation of our staff, and play a vital role in our mission!

The thing we value most in our staff member is passion - a passion for doing what's best for our players, and a passion for improving Renovia every single day. If this sounds like you, then we'd love to have you apply!
